Software Engineer - Network Infrastructure

Join my clients’ team of passionate Software Engineers dedicated to advancing network infrastructure. They are looking for individuals who thrive in building scalable distributed systems and are enthusiastic about networking. As part of our growing team, you’ll take the lead in designing and executing strategies for building, analyzing, and monitoring our evolving network.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable software solutions for the production network.
  • Engage with networking protocols and devices.
  • Evaluate third-party solutions and integrate them with existing systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineering to automate processes, create network monitoring and analysis software infrastructure, and contribute to capacity planning and architectural analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in C/C++ and Python.
  • 6+ years of expertise in Systems programming, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SPDY, DNS, and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in network device handling (routers, switches, load balancers) and understanding of network routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with web traffic considerations for data centers and websites.
  • Experience in designing and implementing network management systems.
  • Knowledge of MySQL databases.
  • Understanding of the Linux operating system.
  • Ability to debug issues within custom code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptable engineering mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
