Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable software solutions for the production network.
- Engage with networking protocols and devices.
- Evaluate third-party solutions and integrate them with existing systems.
- Collaborate closely with Network Engineering to automate processes, create network monitoring and analysis software infrastructure, and contribute to capacity planning and architectural analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in C/C++ and Python.
- 6+ years of expertise in Systems programming, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SPDY, DNS, and load balancers.
- Proficiency in network device handling (routers, switches, load balancers) and understanding of network routing protocols.
- Familiarity with web traffic considerations for data centers and websites.
- Experience in designing and implementing network management systems.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases.
- Understanding of the Linux operating system.
- Ability to debug issues within custom code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptable engineering mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
