Position Overview:
This role revolves around constructing and maintaining systems that acquire, validate, and process critical data supporting our investment strategies. Furthermore, you’ll play a key role in enhancing tools that underpin our portfolio management lifecycle, from model development and order generation to performance analysis and reporting.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Devise and implement data systems to source, validate, cleanse, and process data integral to credit models, portfolio creation, trading, and reporting.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and traders to pinpoint novel data sources and establish data pipelines driving investment decisions.
- Continuously refine and optimize data pipelines to enhance overall performance.
- Engineer robust, well-tested solutions that align with high quality and scalability standards.
- Collaborate within a team to manage daily investment process systems and production tasks.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions for data systems and visualization strategies.
Our Ideal Teammate Will Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with 3+ years of software development experience in a professional context; CFA charter would be advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an inherent drive to rectify data imperfections autonomously.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Python, Pandas, and SQL.
- Proficiency in programmatic data visualization, whether through web interfaces, BI platforms, or Python notebooks.
- Sound understanding of multi-asset class data sequences and expertise in operating data delivery platforms.
- Familiarity with industry-standard investment tools like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and FactSet.
- Proficiency in data modeling, as well as process and management modeling, and data profiling.
- Strong analytical skills, complemented by the ability to express methodologies and outcomes verbally, graphically, and in writing.
