Join a leading investment management firm headquartered in Boston, with global affiliates in Singapore, London, and Sydney.

Role Overview:

This role entails constructing systems to gather and process data crucial for supporting equities investments. You’ll also enhance tools integral to our portfolio management process, spanning model development, order generation, performance attribution, and reporting. Collaborating with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers, you’ll contribute to research and investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop systems for data acquisition, validation, cleansing, and processing for models, portfolio construction, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and traders to identify new data sources.
  • Establish data and modeling pipelines driving investment decision systems.
  • Improve the data platform to expedite new data set integration.
  • Manage daily investment process systems, including production tasks.
  • Contribute to architectural design of quantitative decision systems and data platform.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to data pipelines for performance.
  • Engineer well-tested, high-quality, and extensible solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with exceptional academic background in a technical field like mathematics, science, or engineering; 5+ years’ experience as a developer in an investment firm (CFA charter is advantageous).
  • Proven experience (2+ years) independently leading large-scale software development projects, coordinating with colleagues, and ensuring timely high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, SKLearn, PyTorch, CVXOpt) for analytics and SQL for data, along with knowledge of AWS or other cloud infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard investment tools like Bloomberg or Refinitiv.
  • Strong software, data modeling, and programming skills to swiftly translate concepts into solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate approaches, processes, and outcomes clearly.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and collegiality, thriving in a self-motivated environment.
  • Determination and humility to deliver high-value projects with a hands-on attitude.
