Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Improvement Efforts: Successfully lead teams through all phases of Lean, Six Sigma, or Reengineering efforts, covering all aspects of improvement including people, process, technology, and policy.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Develop and oversee continuous improvement initiatives, consulting with and influencing internal stakeholders to create value and secure buy-in.
- Complex Project Management: Develop, scope, and manage complex projects that deliver significant business value.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives, using measurements, analysis, and discussion to identify viable solutions and best practices.
- Documentation and Baseline Processes: Document and baseline existing or future state processes, identify significant re-engineering or automation opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve automation potential.
- Automation Solution Execution: Conduct discovery and manage the execution of potential automation solutions.
- Process Analysis: Analyze and observe processes to understand steps, inter-dependencies, and applications used to complete transactions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with IT development teams, business owners, and other relevant stakeholders to define requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions.
- Presentation and Recommendations: Present compelling recommendations to stakeholders and business leaders to motivate and drive change.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain trusting relationships that foster alignment, transparency, and collaboration.
- Project Communication: Regularly communicate project status, issues, and risks to the project sponsor.
- Solution Implementation: Drive the implementation of solutions within the business as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-8 years of project management experience.
- Educational Background: BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Industry Experience: Insurance or Financial Service experience highly preferred; management consulting experience is a plus.
- Certifications: Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean, or equivalent training/certification required.
- Process Orientation: Strong attention to detail with a focus on process orientation.
- Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication competencies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deconstruct problems and determine viable solution options using data.
- Attention to Detail: Clear understanding of root cause analysis and ability to suggest resolutions.
- Knowledge of Digital Solutions: Preferred knowledge of digital and automation solutions in the marketplace and their potential application to the insurance industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in various technical areas.
- Execution Capability: Solid capability to execute tasks with quality, within deadlines, and with a positive impact on customer experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, results-driven, and well-organized.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with VISIO, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
