This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, which entails 2-3 days per week working from our Boston office.

The IT Delivery Manager assumes the pivotal role of overseeing the performance and outcomes of an IT Platform Delivery Team. Collaborating with peers and their direct reports, they continually enhance Platform results through refining documentation artifacts, strengthening business engagement, and advancing team delivery practices. As an active thought partner and visionary in applications, this role shapes technology demand within the business community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Self-assured self-starter capable of devising plans and driving projects to completion.
  • Exceptional facilitation and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to engage with all business segments.
  • Proficient in the financial services industry, fund accounting, and investments, ideally in the context of Private Equity.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with an execution-oriented focus, and adaptability to meet shifting timelines and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT Platform Owners and Business Product Owners to prioritize backlogs, refine roadmaps, and manage dependencies.
  • Lead a team comprising L2/L3 platform support Technical Analysts, Business Analysts, and QA Testers.
  • Serve as a bridge between the technical and business communities, working with project teams and business partners to gather, clarify, and translate business requests into documentation and conceptual design to shape application and solution development.
  • Oversee prioritized work for both development and ongoing support.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for the development of team members.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Previous experience in a leadership capacity.
  • A data-driven mindset and ability to leverage data for process enhancement.
  • Familiarity with financial applications, including managing critical transactional and reporting systems.
  • Capability to recruit, build, and manage a delivery team, which includes managing contractors and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience within the financial services industry, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role (preferred).
