We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team focused on Alternative Assets in Luxembourg. As part of the Financial Risk Management – Alternative Assets team, you’ll be pivotal in managing, analyzing, and optimizing risk practices across various investment portfolios, including private equity, real estate, private debt, and infrastructure. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that investment strategies align with both regulatory standards and our client’s financial objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide independent insights on key investment risks impacting portfolios.
- Enhance the risk and control culture, fostering sound investment risk management practices.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments covering market, liquidity, counterparty, and compliance risks for illiquid assets.
- Review risk policies and ensure adherence to AIFM regulations.
- Lead ad-hoc analyses, and present findings to senior management and portfolio managers.
- Support the Chief Risk Officer and other key stakeholders in refining our risk management framework.
- Optimize processes, increase efficiency, and mitigate risks across projects.
Requirements:
- Graduate/Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in risk management, particularly within alternative investments (private equity, private debt, infrastructure, real estate).
- Proven experience within a highly regulated environment (AIFMD).
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in risk models and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Luxembourg’s AIFM landscape is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; French or Italian language skills are advantageous.
